Who Can Join Project SOAR?
Youth between the ages of 15-20 living in public housing with Northwest Georgia Housing Authority may participate in Project SOAR.

The SOAR program is designed to help develop pathways to college! Thinking about everything that must be done to prepare for and complete a post-secondary education can be overwhelming. We get it... and we want to help!

What Services Are Available?
You can get help:

  • Researching & Deciding on a College
  • Selecting a College Major
  • Completing Enrollment Forms
  • Completing Financial Aid Documents
  • Moving Forward with Your Education

Will It Cost Me Anything to Join?
This program is provided at no cost to residents. However, there may be a fee associated with some of the services provided by other organizations.

Is College for Me?
Why wouldn't college be for you? College can help change your life! College graduates make an average of $17,500 more than peers who only have a high school diploma!

How Can I Afford College & What Is The FAFSA?
College is an investment in your future and there are costs. It can be expensive, but it can also be VERY affordable. Did you know it could also be FREE? The FAFSA is a form that is required by all colleges. It helps determine what financial aid or assistance is available for YOU! You may qualify for scholarships and grants that will help pay for college. The FAFSA helps determine the awarding of over $150 BILLION in financial aid! That's a ton of money, and some of it may be for you.

College can be within your reach!
