Coming Soon: Cave Spring Townhomes
Northwest Georgia Housing Authority's application for the redevelopment of the low-income housing development formerly known as the Cave Spring Housing Authority located at 121 Fincher Street has been selected for funding under the 2024 9% Housing Tax Credit Competitive Round through the Georgia Department of Community Affairs.
The total development cost of $17,696,778 will result in the demolition of the existing 52 public housing and Section 8 units and the new construction of 58 affordable units. The unit mix will consist of 1-4 bedroom townhomes and duplexes.
Northwest Georgia Housing Authority is excited to provide newly constructed, high-quality affordable housing to the Cave Spring community. Site amenities will include a playground and a 5000 sq. ft. community building, complete with a computer room and a covered patio for exterior gathering.
Northwest Georgia Housing Authority took over management of the property in 2020 and, on January 1, 2023, absorbed the Cave Spring Housing Authority into its portfolio.
