Inspection Procedures
Northwest Georgia Housing Authority (NWGHA) has outsourced the Housing Choice Voucher Program National Procedures for the Physical Inspections of Real Estate (NSPIRE). All housing Inspections ( initial, special, annual NSPIRE) will be conducted by employees of A-1 Quality Inspectors.
Move-In Inspections
Move-in inspections will be conducted by an A-1 Quality Inspector as long as the tenant has not moved into the unit. The inspector will contact the owner the day before the inspection and prior to entering the unit, to confirm that the owner, manager, or representative to be present during the inspection.
Families transferring to new units and families porting to NWGHA's jurisdiction must not move into the unit before the unit passes the initial inspection. Move-in inspections will be conducted as long as the tenant has not moved into the unit.
